It’s starting to warm up a bit here in Melbourne given we are in the heart of Spring now and it takes some time for me to adjust…I usually feel kinda sick when it goes from cold to hot overnight (Yep Melbourne weather).
Anyway, after 20mins of HIIT upon waking, I trained 7 clients in a row which took a nice wack of energy out of me before heading to a different gym where I train for a Leg (some biceps) workout. Getting home to a house full of screaming crying kids (who I had to carry both at once obviously) and my wife venting about her day out with them was super awesome for recovery.
Workout looked like this:
Standing Alt DB curls 1×8-10, 1×12-15
Cable Preacher curls 1×8-10, 1×12-15
Standing Calves 1×15-20 triple drop set
Lying DB leg curls 1RPx12 + ISO hold
Safety bar Squats 1×10-12, 1×15-20 (happy with this hit a PR 155kg for 10 following by 125kg for 19)
Leg presses 2×12-15 (left patella gave me a little grief but managed to hit 2 good sets)
Leg extensions 1×12 triple drop
Smith Lunges 1×15-20
Horizontal Hyper 2×12-15
Skipped Adductors cuz they were fried from the Lying DB curls still…I really squeeze the hell out of thighs together when doing these and it smokes my adductors.
Great workout apart from my knee flaring up.
Diet….Justin decided to push cals up a touch after checking in yesterday so a touch more size to go on during this offseason blast hopefully with things moving well.
