So my contest is done as dusted. Unfortunately with fewer than expected entrants they mixed the classes and this lead to no placing for semi obvious reasons.
Anyway, more importantly WE nailed my all time best showing to date…this is the 3rd show I have done under Justins coaching and every week as has been different in terms of the variables that require manipulation – Carbs, water, insulin etc…
So the plan 72 hrs out was:
(LOAD) Thursday: 600C, 210P spread over 6 meals..10L water
(LOAD) Friday: 600C, 210P spread over 6 meals..8L water
(DRY OUT) Saturday: 255C, 240P 126F spread over 6 meals..1.35L water
We ended up sticking to this 100% based on my bodies response and blood glucose readings…at most we added 2-4 iu on insulin with a few meals on Friday and Saturday to keep things in range but at not one point did things get out of hand as such.
I simply continue to fill out and dry out as per the plan which rarely happens. I was shocked with the amount of food I was able to store this prep compared to the last prep which was literally HALF this amount. Goes to show how different each prep, peak etc can be for even the same person show to show…nothing can be cookie cutter or guessed.
I couldn’t have been any happier with the final product and my ABSOLUTE best condition to date…moving forward I simple need more thickness, size generally and in some key areas so offseason is planned training wise and diet will be adjust as needed.
For now, I have a week of HIGH days + cheat meal end of each day before we start a rebound diet.
