Rough leg day today. I’m at the end of a long spurt of low calories and I kept today as another lower carb day. We’ll be doing a lot of filming this weekend so I wanted to save my carbs for when I’ll need them this weekend…..and I was definitely feeling it at the gym. My knees and hips are always beat up and softball season doesn’t help. Between catching in between innings while the catcher gets their gear on and my fat ass standing up for 12+ hours during a tournament, my hips and knees were really feeling it.
I did what I could, but it wasn’t anything to write home about.

*I really worked my way up in weight on these. The last three sets were to failure, but the first few were really light. I’ll probably start implementing some high volume leg extension type stuff because I’m becoming more and more limited on how often I can push the weight on any pressing movement.
Lying Leg Curls:
3 x 12
1 x 9
*Last two were to failure. Only hit 9 reps on the last one though.

*Not even going to put the weight on these, because it was embarrassing lol. They’re just so painful now. It really sucks because I really did love to squat. The shittiest thing now is that my knee issues aren’t just tendonitis type stuff….I think there’s a lot of condromalacia and possibly other stuff going on, so wrapping my knees just increases the pain because it makes the grinding more severe.
Stiff leg deadlifts:
3 x 12
This was the lowest volume leg workout I’ve done in a very long time. I’m actually pretty sore today so whatever I did last night must have done something, but I left the gym feeling pretty unhappy with the performance. My legs are still probably my best body part for whatever reason right now, but mostly because they stay so lean compared to the rest of me. I have to expect that I’ll start seeing some size loss if I continue to have sub par efforts.
At least long shorts are still in style (I think?).
