Started a new program today which is exciting. The split is as follows:
CHEST/BICEPS
LEGS
SHOULDER/TRICEPS
BACK
Will be running 2 different rotations and ideally 3 days on, 1 off, repeat.
I promised my wife I would take Sunday’s off training and stay in to help with kids in the mornings, but they tend to sleep in until at least 7ish…which means I can go hit the gym prior and back before that (I do this Saturday’s). So if all is well, I will run the above plan…otherwise worst case I will just start again Monday on what ever day I am up to.
Todays workout looked like this:
1 Standing calves 3 x 15 ( I will start training calves every workout again…this boosted calve size a ton for me a while back)
Incline Smith Machine 1×8-10, 2×10-15
Incline Machine Press 1×8-10, 2×10-15
Machine Fly 2×10-15
Stretch
Preacher machine curl 1×8-10, 2×10-15
1 arm Preacher machine curl 2×10-12
Cable curls 1×15-20 drop set
It’s a bit less total work compared to my last program but I have a feeling I will respond well, simply due to this change and will allow for effort into work sets.
I will treat the first cycle as a bit of test / deload. I feel I need a bit of a break but don’t want to take any days OFF training so a back of in intensity should be fine especially testing out a new program.
