Having an amazing rebound ending prep under 200lbs and I am waking up at 218-220lbs lean… This is by far the best response I have had after a show. I attribute most of this to the change in training style which is more volume than I have typically trained over the last 18 months or so.
From my previous posts you would have seen I typically train under Jordan Peters principles which is hitting 2 all out failure sets at most for the bigger lifts an prior these set I would do very low rep feeder sets to find the working weight.
This new program has me doing 1 all out set BUT ramping up using the same reps like a traditional bodybuilder would:
Eg: 100kg x 10 (2-3 left in the tank)
110kg (1-2 left in the tank)
120kg (all out fail)
so overall volume is up along with way more intensification techniques like drop sets, partials etc. Another factor is hitting more of a body part split (Dorian split) compared to a LEGS/PUSH/PULL set up. 4 days on 1 day off has me training 6 days a week and my body is responding extremely well in terms of recovery, so I will continue this rebound basically as long as I continue to grow with no health issues.
Gear wise I am running 500mg Test Sustanon (which I changed to recently from Enanthate-never tried this ester combo), 400NPP(which I seem to respond much better too than Deca) and I have also added MK 677 to my plan at the bare minimal dose of 10mg a day and this has also lead to a nice bump in strength, growth, sleep and well being – Highly recommend you try it if you havn’t…bang for buck I am a fan thus far.
Unsure the exact variable rather a combination of the above as lead to some great progress these past few weeks.
I am aiming to get to a well conditioned 240lbs this offseason and I am very confident we will get there given we have 16 months until the next show is planned
